London, 04 July 2025. In an interview with Portfolio Institutionell, a renowned German publication for institutional investors, our portfolio manager Benjamin Noisser provides insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the German promissory note market (“Schuldscheindarlehen” or “SSD”). SSDs have faced competition as a financing and investment instrument – primarily from bonds, but also from private debt. However, many investors continue to appreciate the advantages of SSDs, which include streamlined documentation and fast settlement based on standardised transfer certificates.
